Privacy notice
Experimental AI Lab is the registered business name under which Catherine Chan operates these practical AI workshops. This notice explains how information submitted through this site is handled.
What is collected and why
We collect your contact details, occupation, AI experience, interests and availability to plan suitable workshops and contact you about your registration. After the session, we collect feedback to improve future workshops and understand your progress.
Required questions help us match you with a suitable group. Other details are optional. Your responses stay private; before publishing any feedback, Catherine will ask for your explicit approval of the wording and attribution.
Public workshop waitlist
The public waitlist collects your name, email, AI experience, learning goal and preferred times. Occupation and tools are optional. Your consent allows Catherine to use these answers to plan this workshop and email its dates, venue, pricing and booking details. Joining is free and does not book a place or commit you to paying. Public waitlist entries are labelled separately from friends’ pilot registrations in the restricted review area. Repeated submissions with the same email do not overwrite the original entry. Email Catherine@ExperimentalAILab.com to correct your details or leave the list. Joining does not subscribe you to Substack or unrelated promotions. Waitlist records will be reviewed within 12 months of submission and deleted or de-identified when no longer needed, subject to applicable record-keeping obligations. This notice describes the handling of your information; joining the waitlist does not require agreeing to pilot participation terms.
Email choices
Registration allows Catherine to contact you about this pilot, including preparation and feedback. New newsletter subscriptions and future workshop announcements are offered through a separate link to Catherine’s Substack. You choose whether to subscribe there; Substack processes that subscription under its own privacy policy and manages unsubscribe choices. This site does not send your registration to Substack or check whether you subscribed. Earlier newsletter and course opt-ins remain recorded privately here; use the form below to withdraw an earlier choice.
Who can access it
Catherine can review your submission in a restricted administration area and export it for workshop planning. Your answers are not published or made available to other participants. This site uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare hosting and database infrastructure to process and store submissions. These providers may process information outside Australia; specific storage and processing countries have not yet been confirmed for this pilot. We use Resend to send Catherine a generic registration alert containing a link to the restricted review page. These alerts do not contain participant names, email addresses or form answers. Resend stores email content and delivery logs in the United States; the selected Tokyo sending region does not determine storage location. Google Workspace handles Catherine’s notification inbox under its own service terms. Your information is not sold.
Your optional AI conversation
The audit prompt is a text tool you can copy. This site does not run that conversation or retrieve your AI chat history. If you use the prompt in another AI service, that provider’s terms and privacy settings apply. Catherine receives only what you choose to submit. Use general descriptions and dummy examples; omit passwords, confidential work material and other people’s personal information.
Storage and retention
Registration, feedback and privacy-request records are stored in this site’s Cloudflare D1 database, accessed through OpenAI Sites, with owner-restricted review access. Registration details are not automatically emailed to Catherine; only a generic alert and review-page link are sent. Catherine can review registrations and privacy requests on the private participant review page. A personal feedback link allows its holder to submit feedback, but does not reveal registration answers; keep that link private. Catherine will review pilot records within 12 months of submission and delete or de-identify information no longer needed, subject to any applicable record-keeping obligations. Email subscription details and evidence of consent may be retained while you remain subscribed. Withdrawal will be recorded so the preference can be respected. A deletion request is reviewed rather than automatically actioned.
Access, correction and concerns
Use the contact form below to ask about your information, request a copy or correction, request deletion, withdraw optional email consent or raise a concern. Requests are saved privately for Catherine to review. Information in the request is used to respond and handle the request. Photos, recordings and public testimonials require separate permission.
If you separately opt in, Catherine may contact you about future paid workshops and discounts. This is optional and separate from Substack. Withdraw by emailing Catherine@ExperimentalAILab.com. Optional learning barriers and paid-workshop interest help plan future sessions.
